I Seen Him For Myself - Easter 2020

I SEEN HIM FOR MYSELF

Mark 16:10-12

There was a woman that was the first one there at the tomb on the first day of the week.  I want you to replace this woman with you as if you were the first one there.  This woman first met Jesus at the darkest time of her life.  But Jesus came and delivered her from all what was not good in her life.  The bible said that Jesus cast out seven devils from her.  There isn’t much to tell about this woman but most of all what Jesus had done for her, she loved him so.  How many of us know personally what Jesus has done for you.  We all have some kind of testimony on what Jesus has done for us.  This is why our heart loves him.

She loved Jesus for His Compassion, for His Understanding and most of all for His Forgiveness.  We all love him for these reasons.

His Compassion – His love for us.  His sympathy and concerns of your sufferings and misfortunes.  He is motivated to release your suffering, your feelings and whatever you may going through.  He comforts us in ALL our troubles and when he releases comfort and compassion, we have joy, unspeakable joy.  The kind of joy that the world cannot give you.  His compassion is there no matter what we have done.

His Understanding  - His Understanding and His sympathy of your feelings.  His understanding of the flesh and the heart.  He knows the flesh wants one thing but your heart is open for God.  There is a battle of course and he understands that for He came down from heaven as man.

His Forgiveness – Thank God for His forgiveness.  For his remission of sins. He has given us chance after chance to forgive us.  Now we need to forgive our own self and accept the forgiveness of Jesus.

Let’s continue with this woman.  This woman was there when they crucified him, she was there when they buried him.  On that first day of the week, she and other woman went to the tomb to anoint him with spices.  There they were discussing who is going to roll away the stone in front of the tomb.  But when they got there, they seen that the stone has been rolled away.  For it was a great stone.  According to the gospel of Mark, they seen a man clothed in white and of course they were afraid.  And he said to them, ‘Be not afraid, the Jesus of Nazareth you seek is not here, he has risen’.  Look at the place where they have laid him.

He continue to tell them to go and tell his disciples.  They ran quickly to tell Jesus’ disciples.  Now while this was happening. Jesus appeared to this woman first and he told her to go and tell his disciples.  Now in detail in the book of John, John 20:11-18, she was outside of the tomb, weeping.  Someone came to her and asked ‘why are you weeping, who do you seek’? She answered him, thinking that He was the gardener, if you took him, please tell me where did you lay him and I will take him away.

Jesus called her name….”Mary”.  She turned to him and said “Rabboni” which means Master.  Jesus said to her “Touch me not, for I am not yet ascended to my Father: but go tell my disciples……

This woman’s name is Mary Magdelene.  I need you to know if Jesus has done anything for you.  If he has showed you compassion, understanding and forgiveness and YOU BELIEVED.  HE IS YOUR SAVIOR.

When she went to tell his disciples, they didn’t believe her.  Let me tell you something.  People may not understand what God has done, tell them anyway.  God is so good.  He is keeping us through this pandemic, he will bring us through.  Tell everybody what Jesus had done.  He is risen.  How do I know? I seen it for myself.  Mary Magdalene told the disciples.  I seen HIM for myself.

What he has done for me, he never left me nor forsake me.  How do I know because I seen him for myself.  He worked on my behalf.  Tell the world what God has done for you.  For YOU SEEN HIM FOR YOURSELF.

Hallelujah, let’s praise him for what we have seen.  We have seen him work for ourselves.  We praise you Lord God!!
